In this message from our Alpha & Omega series, Pastor Dave Purdy explores the profound truth found in Genesis 1:26–31—that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God. From the very beginning, God uniquely designed people to reflect His character, authority, and purpose in the world.

Unlike the rest of creation, mankind was intentionally formed to bear God’s image. This foundational truth shapes how we understand our identity, our purpose, and our relationship with our Creator.

This sermon examines what it truly means to be made in God’s image and how that truth impacts our lives today.

• What it means that humanity was created in God’s image
• Why people are uniquely set apart within God’s creation
• How sin has marred—but not erased—the image of God in us

In Part 2 of This is Jesus, Pastor Dave Purdy continues our Alpha & Omega series with a powerful look at the vision of Christ revealed in Revelation 1. While Jesus’ first coming was marked by humility and servanthood, the apostle John’s vision reveals the risen and exalted Christ in all His glory, authority, and majesty.

In Revelation 1:12–20, John describes a breathtaking picture of Jesus that reminds us who He truly is — the eternal Son of God, the victorious Savior, and the One who holds authority over life, death, and eternity.

This message explores what John saw and why it matters for our faith today.

In this sermon, we reflect on:
• The contrast between Jesus’ humble earthly ministry and His exalted glory
• The powerful imagery describing Christ in Revelation 1
