No Wasted Prayers Alpha and Omega Series: No Wasted Prayers Sermon by Pastor Dave | NorthWinds Church – West Salem, Ohio Have you ever wondered if your prayers really make a difference? In Revelation 8, we see a remarkable moment when heaven falls silent before the opening of the seventh seal. This message, “No Wasted Prayers,” reminds us that God hears the prayers of His people and that even when we cannot see the results, our prayers matter in His eternal plan. Revelation 8:1-4 describes silence in heaven and the prayers of the saints rising before God like incense. This powerful picture connects prayer with worship and God’s unfolding purposes. As we consider 2 Peter 3:9-10, we are also reminded that God is patient, desiring people to come to repentance, but a day of judgment is coming. His patience is an expression of mercy, giving people the opportunity to turn to Jesus Christ and receive salvation. In this message we explore: • The significance of the silence in heaven when the seventh seal is opened • How the prayers of believers are pictured as incense before God’s throne • Why we can trust that our prayers matter, even when answers seem delayed • The relationship between God’s patience, His coming judgment, and His desire for people to repent • Why we must persevere in prayer and respond to God’s offer of salvation through Jesus Never underestimate the power of prayer. God invites us to keep seeking Him, trusting His wisdom and timing even when we do not understand what He is doing. This message also challenges us to consider our own relationship with Christ. Today is an opportunity to receive His grace, turn from sin, and find hope in the salvation He offers. Share this message with someone who needs hope in Christ. #NoWastedPrayers #Revelation8 #AlphaAndOmega #PowerOfPrayer #PrayerWorks #BibleStudy #BookOfRevelation #SecondComing #Salvation #JesusChrist #ChristianFaith #NorthWindsChurch #WestSalemOhio Our prayer is that this message helps you grow in your understanding of God’s Word and draws you closer to Jesus. A GOSPEL PERSPECTIVE Sermon by Pastor Caleb Purday | NorthWinds Church – West Salem, Ohio What if the circumstances that make us feel stuck are actually opportunities for God to work? In Philippians 1:12–18, the Apostle Paul shows us how a Gospel-centered perspective can transform hardship into an opportunity to share Christ. Even while imprisoned, Paul remained focused on something greater than his own comfort: advancing the Gospel and making Jesus known. Paul’s imprisonment did not stop the spread of the Gospel. Instead, his circumstances emboldened other believers to proclaim Christ. Paul also recognized that people preached from different motivations, including envy and rivalry, but he still rejoiced whenever Christ was proclaimed. His example challenges us to look beyond our immediate situations and measure our lives by the eternal purposes of God. In this message we explore: • Why the advancement of the Gospel matters more than our personal circumstances • How God can use trials and unexpected situations to accomplish His purposes • How Paul’s imprisonment encouraged others to boldly share their faith • Why we should rejoice whenever the true Gospel of Jesus Christ is proclaimed • How to live with Gospel purpose in our workplaces, families, and communities A Gospel perspective changes how we respond to difficulties, interact with others, and understand our purpose. Rather than allowing circumstances to define our joy, we can trust God to work through every season of life. Our greatest goal is not simply comfort or success, but living in a way that brings glory to Jesus and advances His kingdom. GOSPEL PARTNERSHIP: A CALL TO GLOBAL MISSION Sermon by Mike Crisman, Guest Speaker - Converge International Missions | NorthWinds Church – West Salem, Ohio In this message, we explore the biblical call to Gospel partnership and what it means for every believer to participate in God’s mission around the world. Drawing from Philippians 1 and 4, Pastor Dave highlights the partnership between the Apostle Paul and the church at Philippi as a powerful example of how prayer, resources, and relationships work together to advance the Gospel. Paul’s relationship with the Philippians demonstrates that global missions are not accomplished by missionaries alone. Philippians 1:3-5 shows Paul’s gratitude for their partnership in the Gospel, while Philippians 4:14-18 highlights their generous support and shared commitment to ministry. Together, these passages remind us that every believer has a meaningful role in the Great Commission, whether God calls us to go, welcome, or send. In this message we explore: • The biblical foundation of Gospel partnership in Philippians 1 and 4 • How prayer, resources, and relationships support global missions • The different roles believers can have in fulfilling the Great Commission • How we can welcome and minister to people from other nations in our own communities • Why every follower of Jesus has a part to play in taking the Gospel to the nations The Great Commission is a shared calling for the entire church. Whether God calls us to cross an ocean, welcome someone from another culture, or faithfully pray and give to support those who go, we can participate in His mission. As we look toward the vision of Revelation 7:9, where people from every nation, tribe, people, and language worship before God’s throne, we are reminded that the Gospel is for all people. Alpha and Omega Series: SEALED AND SAVED: A JOURNEY THROUGH REVELATION Sermon by Pastor Dave | NorthWinds Church – West Salem, Ohio In this message from the Alpha and Omega series, Pastor Dave continues our journey through Revelation 6–7, exploring the opening of the seals and the prophetic events surrounding the end times. As the first six seals reveal increasing judgment and upheaval, Revelation also provides a powerful message of hope: God knows His people, preserves them, and offers salvation through Jesus Christ. Revelation 6 introduces the first six seals, including the four horsemen, the souls of faithful martyrs, and dramatic cosmic disturbances. These events raise an important question: “Who can stand?” Revelation 7 answers by showing 144,000 sealed servants from the tribes of Israel and a great multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language standing before God’s throne. Clothed in white and worshiping God, this multitude points to the universal reach of God’s salvation and the ultimate victory of those who belong to Him. In this message we explore: • The meaning and significance of the first six seals in Revelation 6 • The question of who can stand before God’s righteous judgment • The significance of the 144,000 who are sealed in Revelation 7 • The great multitude from every nation worshiping before God’s throne • The hope of salvation and the call to worship Jesus in every circumstance The message of Revelation is ultimately not about fear, but about the faithfulness and sovereignty of God. Even amid judgment, persecution, and earthly turmoil, Scripture points us toward the salvation found in Christ. Revelation 7 gives us a glimpse of the redeemed people of God worshiping together before His throne, reminding us that God’s plan ends in victory, redemption, and eternal worship. Alpha and Omega: Beginning Of The End Sermon by Pastor Dave | NorthWinds Church – West Salem, Ohio In this message from the Alpha and Omega series, Pastor Dave begins exploring the dramatic events of Revelation 6 and the opening of the seven seals by Jesus, the Lamb. As John’s vision moves into the future unfolding of God’s plan, this sermon challenges us to take seriously the reality of coming judgment while recognizing the hope and salvation found in Jesus Christ. Revelation 6 introduces the four horsemen as the Lamb opens the first four seals, revealing conquest, war, famine, death, and widespread upheaval. These judgments point to the righteous wrath of God against sin and evil. The sermon examines why God's judgment is not inconsistent with His goodness, highlighting His patience, compassion, and desire that people turn to Him in repentance (Exodus 34:6–7; 2 Peter 3:9). The opening of each seal also demonstrates that God remains sovereign over history and the events leading toward the fulfillment of His purposes. In this message we explore: • The significance of the seven seals and the unfolding of end-times prophecy • The meaning of the four horsemen in Revelation 6 • Why God's righteous judgment is necessary in dealing with sin and evil • How God's sovereignty gives believers confidence during uncertain times • Why salvation through Jesus makes the message of Revelation an urgent call to faith This message reminds us that the end of history is not outside God's control. While Revelation contains sobering warnings about judgment, it also points us toward the hope found in Christ. Rather than living in fear, believers are called to remain faithful, share the Gospel, and trust the One who holds the future in His hands. For those who have not yet placed their faith in Jesus, the message is an urgent invitation to turn to Christ and receive the gift of eternal life. Alpha and Omega: The Lamb Is Worthy Sermon by Pastor Dave | NorthWinds Church – West Salem, Ohio In this powerful message from the Alpha and Omega series, Pastor Dave takes us into Revelation 5 and John’s breathtaking vision of worship in heaven. At the center of the scene is Jesus Christ, the Lamb who was slain, standing in victory and declared worthy to open the scroll and carry out God’s purposes. This chapter reminds us that Jesus alone is worthy of our worship, our trust, and our lives. Revelation 5 reveals the glory and authority of Christ through the imagery of the Lion of Judah, the Root of David, and the Lamb who was slain. His worthiness is rooted in His sacrificial death, through which He purchased people for God from every tribe, language, people, and nation (Revelation 5:9). As heaven responds with songs of worship, the entire creation declares the Lamb worthy of power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise. In this message we explore: • Why Jesus alone is worthy to open the scroll and fulfill God’s purposes • How the Lamb’s sacrifice provides salvation for people from every nation • What the worship of heaven teaches us about the worthiness of Christ • Why worship is not only our future hope but our present calling • How surrendering the throne of our lives to Jesus changes the way we live Revelation 5 calls us to lift our eyes from our circumstances and place them on the One who is truly worthy. The Lamb who was slain has conquered, and His victory gives us hope for today and eternity. May our response be the same as heaven’s: to bow before Jesus, trust His sovereign plan, and give Him the honor and praise He deserves.
