Living in a city filled with idolatry, spiritual darkness, and cultural compromise, the believers in Pergamum were challenged to remain faithful to Christ. Pergamum was known for its influence, wealth, and devotion to false worship, making it a difficult place for Christians to stand firm in their faith.
