The Worthiness of the Lamb

2. The second song, joined by thousands upon thousands of angels, declares the Lamb worthy to receive power, wealth, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and praise.
3. The third song, sung by every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, and on the sea, offers eternal praise to “Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb.”

Insights Into Heavenly Worship

This passage offers insights into heavenly worship and our future existence:

• 1 John 3:2 reminds us that while we don’t fully understand what we will be, “we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him.”
• 1 Corinthians 13:12 provides hope, stating that “now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.”

Earthly Implications

This vision challenges us to live a life of worship now, not just in anticipation of heaven. We are urged to step down from the throne of our lives and fall before God’s throne in worship. This means acknowledging Jesus’ worthiness and allowing His sacrifice to transform us.

• Romans 8:28 assures us that “in all things God works for the good of those who love him,” reminding us to trust in His plan, even when we don’t understand it.
